Herman Cain may find himself in the midst of a media firestorm over sexual harassment accusations, but at tonight’s CNBC Republican debate in Michigan, the crowd was firmly behind him.

During the mostly economic debate, Cain was asked about the character questions raised by the sexual harassment charges, and he responded forcefully by calling them “unfounded accusations,” and the crowd broke out it loud cheers. They further rallied behind Cain when he said voters, “don’t care about character assassination, they care about getting this economy going.”
