Did Romney make an argument for a Perry/Cain GOP ticket?
Threatened by the economic appeal of Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., argues that he combines Perry’s executive experience with Godfather Pizza CEO Herman Cain’s experience running a business:
“I respect the other people in this race, but I think the only other person that has that kind of extensive private sector experience, besides me, in the Republican race is Herman Cain. And I respect Herman Cain, but I also think it’s helpful to have had that government experience that I’ve had.”
Of course, Romney’s four years as governor of Massachusetts involved implementing an Obamacare-style state health insurance law. Not all political records are created equal.
