Obama campaign manager Jim Messina revealed to supporters that the Obama campaign, together with the DNC, raised more that $68 million in the fourth quarter.
In the video sent to supporters, Messina rejected the idea that the campaign would raise $1 billion for Obama’s re-election. “Too many of our supporters think, they don’t need our money or they don’t have to give now,” he said. “Look, I get why people would think that, but they are completely wrong.”
Current GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney raised only $24 million in the fourth quarter.
