Rumors are spreading on Twitter that former governor Tim Kaine of Virginia told a class of students that he was running for Senate.
The reports originate from News Radio 1070 after a caller named Greg phoned the Schilling Show on Newsradio 1070 and said that his friends who attended Kaine’s class “says his friends told him that Kaine acknowledged that he has yet to make an official announcement, but he did tell the class that he is running.”
Sounds pretty thin, but reporters are scrambling to contact their sources. The Virginia Democratic Party reportedly neither confirms or denies the reports and Virginia Democrat chair Brian Moran has been quoted as saying, “I’d have to assume it’s a student that’s drawing some conclusions.”
Whatever happens, you can bet that Kaine will be issuing a statement one way or another soon.
