Sarah Palin inspects cattle in Iowa

On a lazy Friday afternoon, Sarah Palin decided to stop by the Iowa State fair and look at some livestock.

From the Associated Press:

Palin and her family inspected cattle at the fair during her stop in Des Moines on Friday. The visit came one day after the Republican politicians already in the race held a debate in nearby Ames. And on Saturday, there’s an important early test vote among Iowa activists — a straw poll.

It’s surprising that Palin is able to move as journalists swarmed around her to ask her questions about the upcoming presidential race.

“Sarah Palin is in the middle of this …somewhere.” tweeted USA Today’s Jackie Kucinich after describing the chase for Palin as a “Where’s Waldo only with more livestock.”

Unlike Michele Bachman, Palin seemed willing to speak to the media at length, including the controversial “Queen of Rage” Newsweek cover and the “submissive” question posed during the debate last night.
