“Let’s not sell out. Let’s not let the government sell us out. Let’s fight for net neutrality. Let’s keep Austin weird. Let’s keep the internet weird. Let’s keep the internet free.” said Senator Al Franken in his net neutrality appeal to techies at the SXSW interactive music and film festival.
Al Franken has a history of reaching out to the tech community in order to stoke Net Neutrality fears, suggesting that the freedom of the internet will be obstructed by telecom companies such as AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast who will charge for data.
