House and Senate Republicans faulted Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today for allowing lobbyists and special interest groups to receive briefings on upcoming Obamacare regulations before briefing Congress.
Five legislators from the House and Senate complained that Sebelius “pursu[ed] a public relations campaign that included selectively scheduled conference calls with lobbyists and special interest groups three hours prior to briefing Congress” about a December 16, 2011, bulletin pertaining to the essential health benefits mandated under Obamacare.
