CNN panelist: Why are you afraid of black people?

Actor Jay Thomas this morning challenged Breitbart.com’s Joel Pollak on CNN this morning, accusing him of airing the previously unseen Obama Harvard video because he was “frightened” of black people.

“Can I say this as a white person, What are you frightened of? Are you frightened that some black people are going to do something to you?” asked Thomas. “What are you frightened of, is there a secret black movement that’s going to start killing white people, what are you talking about as a white guy?”

“I’m glad you played the racism card. You’ve accused me of being a racist.” Pollak responded, “You’ve accused me of being afraid of black people and it doesn’t deserve a response. . . this is typical mainstream media behavior, you’re judging me by the color of my skin.”

Thomas responded that he was only trying to talk to Pollak, “white guy to white guy.”

What Thomas didn’t know is that Pollak’s wife was born in South Africa, as noted in this political ad from 2010.

As an actor, Thomas played roles in “Mr. Holland’s Opus”, “A Smile Like Yours”, and “Santa Claus” 2 and 3.
