The Biden administration is continuing its coordinated effort to terrify women into supporting
abortion
access anywhere, anytime, for any reason.
While Vice President Kamala Harris’s word salad of a speech on what would have been Roe vs. Wade’s 50th anniversary
erased
the word “life” from the Declaration of Independence, the White House social media team called on Congress “to protect reproductive freedom for the people of America” by spreading the falsehood that “in states where abortion is restricted, doctors live in fear of being thrown in jail for simply doing their job.”
The White House video featured Dr. Leilah Zahedi-Spung, a
self-described
“maternal fetal medicine specialist,” who condemned Tennessee’s abortion legislation as a threat to women — herself included.

“It’s awful having to tell patients, ‘I’m sorry I have those skills, but I can’t use them because you’re not dying enough yet for me to take care of you,’” Zahedi-Spung began. “All of the clinics in the state of Tennessee closed on August 25th when the complete ban went into effect. And I can tell you, when I heard that Roe had been overturned, I was immediately afraid for my patients. And I was immediately afraid for myself.”
No mention, of course, of the countless unborn babies saved by the law.
“And therefore, I … was worried about being in a situation where I was going to have to put my own freedom and life at risk in order to take care of someone and make sure that they didn’t die,” she said. “And that is a terrifying place to be. And I want to be able to take care of as many patients as possible. And if I end up being charged with a felony like I would have if I performed an abortion in the state of Tennessee … then I may not ever be able to practice medicine again, not to mention I could go to jail.”
“I am unable to provide care that is both evidence-based and saves lives,” she concluded.
The problem here — beyond the psychotic, euphemistic bloodthirstiness of radical pro-abortion advocates — is that it’s all a lie.
In Tennessee, abortions are indeed illegal, save for limited exceptions. As
explained
by the pro-abortion and demonstrably woke Abortion Finder organization, these are to save the pregnant woman’s life, to preserve the pregnant woman’s physical health, and if the fetus is not expected to survive the pregnancy.
The focus of criticism regarding Tennessee’s abortion legislation often surrounds the issue of “
affirmative defense
,” which means the burden is on the medical provider to demonstrate that the abortion was necessary. In other words, medical providers may be required to back up their life-changing (and life-ending) decisions. Gosh!
Not only do doctors already do this regarding all manners of treatments, but the notion that providers such as Zahedi-Spung should be allowed to act as unregulated society-sanctioned executioners is truly unconscionable.
In truth, this
isn’t about
saving women’s lives. Abortion advocates are just angry that their dark (and, by the way, profitable) industry might have to play by some obviously moral rules.
