Another day, another insane example of the government wasting our tax dollars. A new Wall Street Journal
investigation
found that multiple federal agencies are engaged in so-called diversity training that’s actually toxic and un-American (all at our expense, of course).

Over at the Department of Veterans Affairs, for example, woke bureaucrats apparently use a “Genderbread Person” to reeducate employees about gender, sex, and sexuality — including even the suggestion that biological sex itself is a spectrum.

So, too, the VA reportedly had employees play “Privilege Bingo” as part of its trainings, in which they were taught that even factors clearly derived from personal choice, such as “married,” “military experience,” and “no criminal record,” somehow make them unduly “privileged.”

Meanwhile, the wokeness at NASA is truly out of this world.

One NASA training apparently
teaches
that the term “African American” is now offensive, suggesting that it is “utilized heavily in white spaces” and “can make Black people feel excluded as the term tends to ‘other.’” What’s more, NASA pushes the whole “microaggression” nonsense on its workforce. It even
suggests
that microaggressions, minor verbal ticks that subconsciously offend in some hypothetical way, are just as bad as actual active racial discrimination!

identifies expressions such as “America is a melting pot,” “There is only one race, the human race,” and “Oh, you haven’t been to Europe? You really should go,” as psychologically and physically harmful to minorities. This isn’t just idiotic; it’s actually deeply offensive.

First things first, if you asked the average black American to list their top 25 problems, I highly doubt “microaggressions” would make almost any of their lists. What’s more, the idea that they are physically and psychologically harmed by minor turns of phrase suggests that minorities are more emotionally fragile and mentally frail than white people — a falsehood, and a grotesque, racist one at that. It’s simply unacceptable for the government to be perpetuating this kind of toxic ideology in our name and at our expense.

And, unfortunately, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The Wall Street Journal had to wade through mountains of paperwork and fight via the Freedom of Information Act to get its hands on even these examples, but many other agencies refused to turn them over. This alone should raise some red flags.

As the paper’s editorial puts it, “you’d think the agencies would be proud to post all of these materials online, where it doesn’t require a long wait and a records request to read them.” Their secrecy speaks volumes.

This stuff doesn’t come cheap, either. The Wall Street Journal
reports
that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spent $313,000 on just a few of these racially divisive “equity” training series.

While some of this nonsense no doubt predates him, President Joe Biden is in part to blame for this garbage happening with our tax dollars. Shortly after taking office, he signed an
executive order
not simply reaffirming the government’s nondiscrimination policies but instead actively instructing agencies to further pursue “diversity, equity, and inclusion” goals, which is code for the kind of woke radicalism discussed above.

It looks like the president got what he asked for. And as a result, taxpayers are on the hook, paying for federal agencies’ “diversity” training that’s so absurd that just a few years ago, it would have seemed like parody.
