If you have been following politics for any amount of time, you probably were not surprised that
Democrats
and their friends in corporate media effortlessly turned to gun control following the killing of three children and three adults at the hands of a
transgender shooter
at a Christian school in Nashville on Monday.
When a shooting is perpetrated by a cisgender white man, the press engages in its favorite activity: erroneously accusing Republicans of racism or toxic masculinity. But since transgender people are a protected class in the eyes of many on the Left, the shooter herself can not be blamed. The blame must fall on those scary black guns and the
nasty right-wingers
who own them.
NASHVILLE SHOOTING: BIDEN CALLS ON CONGRESS TO PASS ASSAULT-STYLE WEAPONS BAN
First on the list for Democrats and members of our esteemed media who smelled blood in the water was Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN), who represents Nashville. Ogles posted a wholesome photo of his family brandishing firearms in December 2021. You see, that must mean the congressman wants to see school shootings happen in his district. Make sense? No? Neither do the Left’s predictable assertions that the “gun lobby,” gun manufacturers, the National Rifle Association, and you, the law-abiding gun owner, are responsible when a madman, or woman in this case, takes the lives of innocents.
Republicans have a nasty habit of appeasing the Left on gun control measures after mass shootings, but there is no reason to give an inch. Red flag laws, which have passed with Republican support, have failed to stop the mentally ill from obtaining guns, and the next batch of bad liberal legislation would undoubtedly fail to solve the problem as well.
Democrats are not acting in good faith on gun control. We all know the game: The goal is to disarm the American people. Few Democrats admit it, but the Left’s lies about guns should tell you all you need to know about their intentions. President Joe Biden recently went past his typical rhetoric about banning AR-15s and
went after 9mm pistols
, saying a 9mm bullet “blows the lungs out of the body.” Corporate media outlets, including the Washington Post this week, often publish fever dream-like fantasies about how a single .223 Remington projectile can vaporize an elephant, or some such nonsense.
If you want to support legislation that could potentially limit mass shootings, tell your elected representatives to abolish gun-free zones so citizens aren’t defenseless against the criminally insane, or support the push to place armed guards in schools. The Nashville shooter, who will remain nameless in this article, apparently avoided similar local Christian schools that employed armed security guards. There are limited drawbacks to these simple proposals, but the history of the 20th century tells us a far-bloodier story of what can happen when proponents of gun control get their way.
I implore conservatives to stand strong in the face of unrelenting anti-gun propaganda and avoid supporting anything that could bring the man who gave
this speech
closer to his goal of banning the scary black guns.
