The legacy media have justifiably lost much of their former credibility in recent years for many legitimate reasons. Former President
Donald Trump
famously branded them “
enemies of the people
.” Bestselling author and podcaster
Michael Malice
went a step further: “The battle is won when the average American regards a corporate journalist exactly as they regard a tobacco executive.”
Language like this may offend the sensibilities of some, but there is no doubt that these so-called journalists have now surpassed the point of failing to do their jobs and have ventured into something much more nefarious.
SUPREME COURT SHOULD CRACK DOWN ON COLLEGE ADMINISTRATORS WHO DETER FREE SPEECH
Our current press cut their teeth selling
needless war
to the people and promoting baseless Democratic Party
propaganda
, and seeing that they got away with it with their employment intact, they now feel completely comfortable setting their crosshairs on anything and everything that offends coastal elites or criticizes their beloved Democrats. You may see a pattern as to who and what the legacy media choose to attack or defend.
The media have overwhelmingly
defended
the Biden administration’s decision to send
cluster bombs
to Ukraine, the use of which the White House called a ”
war crime
” just last year. Cluster munitions have been shown to have a
failure rate
between 10% and 40% in recent global conflicts, meaning innocent civilians will almost certainly be killed as a result of President Joe Biden’s decision.
After the fall of Roe v. Wade, several conservative states all but banned abortion. CNN decided to
mourn
the fact that 10,000 Texans were born alive instead of being aborted.
Legacy journalists spent the better part of last weekend demanding that their audiences avoid seeing the new film
Sound of Freedom
,
which highlights the evils of child sex trafficking. The media
accused
the film of being “far right” and promoting “QAnon.” Surely most journalists couldn’t even tell you what QAnon means, but it is illuminating watching our esteemed media class go to war against what should be an objectively positive message with which everyone agrees.
Sure, legacy media supports death and destruction, but they have assured us that they are our moral betters. Shall we check in on the collective moral compass of corporate media? Along with
covering up
for more than a few
sexual predators
over the years, journalists have decided that there is simply no level of depravity that cannot be defended if the perpetrator has the all-important “D” next to his or her name.
The women of
The View
have no problem with Biden refusing to acknowledge the existence of his own grandchild. When a transgender mass shooter
killed children
at a Nashville, Tennessee, Christian school in March, media figures could not muster a single ounce of curiosity regarding the contents of the killer’s manifesto.
Time and time again, legacy media promote war over peace, death over life, propaganda over truth, and oppression over liberty. They have chosen a side, and quite frankly, Donald Trump and Michael Malice may not have gone far enough. If regime-aligned journalists are not the enemy, they have a funny way of showing it.
