MSNBC‘s Chris Matthews, never one for nuanced political commentary, has proclaimed that Democrats are doomed to lose the Senate in 2014.
“It’s going to be very hard to hold the Senate — I think the Senate goes,” Matthews said on “Morning Joe” on Thursday.
Matthews pointed out that the victory of Republican David Jolly in a Florida special election could be a harbinger of doom for the Democratic Party.
“I think we heard from the Ghost of Christmas Future this week; they’re going to lose the Senate,” he said.
