Biden should fire every federal worker who walks out over Israel

The reaction to the planned Tuesday walkout by Biden administration officials should be straightforward: fire every single one of them.

Federal workers are reportedly planning a walkout over President Joe Biden’s support for Israel amid its current war against Hamas. In case you need to be reminded, Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, massacring 1,200 civilians, including more than 30 Americans. Hamas has since continued to lie about its own civilian casualties, use Palestinian civilians as human shields so that they can stand on their corpses to propagandize to the world, and be a terrorist group that is committed to slaughtering Jews and erasing Israel off the map.

Many liberals have since called for a ceasefire, despite the reality that Hamas is a genocidal, antisemitic terrorist organization that will not abide by a ceasefire. Some were even calling for a ceasefire immediately after the massacre, effectively saying that Israel should simply let its civilians be slaughtered. This is because they are either incredibly gullible, falling for weak Hamas propaganda about Israeli “apartheid” or human rights abuses, or because they are antisemitic. In some cases, it may even be both.

That is why Biden should fire any federal workers who walk off the job on Tuesday. Terrorist sympathizers have no business serving in the U.S. government, especially when they are walking off their jobs to complain that their boss isn’t sympathetic enough to terrorists. Biden’s support of Israel has not been resolute, as he has continued to pander to many of those “ceasefire” liberals, but his administration is trying to present itself as supportive. Allowing federal workers to undermine the administration like that is unacceptable.

Then again, Biden has repeatedly demonstrated that he does not have the will to discipline his staff for undermining him. The White House allowed interns and members of Biden’s campaign to make anonymous demands of him (and practically accuse him of supporting a genocide) and have seemingly made no attempt to identify and fire the people involved. Biden’s staff does not respect him because they know he is spineless. Firing the terrorist sympathizers who walk out on Tuesday would help reverse that perception of him, meaning he almost certainly won’t do it.

A self-respecting president would fire everyone who participates in this walkout, especially given the excuse they are using to protest their own boss. If Biden can’t do so, he undermines both his own administration’s message and the idea that he is a capable leader in any capacity.
