America’s top news networks have suspiciously little to say about the situation unfolding between Texas and the federal government over border policy, right as their main man President Joe Biden is revving up his engines for reelection this year.
On Monday, the Supreme Court sided with Biden in a ruling that gave the federal government the authority to take down Texas’s border defenses. On Tuesday, his power-hungry administration demanded that Texas evacuate state property, claiming the decision gives them the right to take state land.
On Wednesday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott defied Biden’s scheme in a bold public statement, accusing Biden of being a “lawless president who does nothing to stop external threats.” He cited the Founding Fathers as justification and activated Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 of the Constitution as the “supreme law of the land” in the threat of invasion that “supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary.”
Abbott’s constitutional defense of Texas led to outrage among Democratic officials, several of whom called on Biden to strong-arm Texas into submission by federalizing the Texas National Guard, thereby giving the central government full authority over it and what happens inside the state. The goal, of course, is to further oppress the states by allowing for more illegal immigrants who will then almost certainly vote Democratic in the election.
This explicit power grab and attempt to obliterate the general welfare of American citizens inspired and compelled 25 state governors to stand with Texas. In a joint statement released Thursday, they declared that “Because the Biden Administration has abdicated its constitutional compact duties to the states, Texas has every legal justification to protect the sovereignty of our states and our nation.” They vowed to send resources to help fortify its borders.
A potentially violent conflict between a unification of states and the federal government like this could mean a dangerous path going forward. That being said, one would be hard-pressed to find a single big media organization covering the developments I just laid out. Why might that be?
These major news outlets, who are in league with Biden’s administration, fear his chances of reelection will decline further if this news gets out. He already looks bad enough in light of the situation as it stands, but he is now at an unwinnable crossroads: either he can give up and leave Texas alone, which will infuriate his radical base, or he can crack down on Texas, which will spark widespread outrage and unity against him.
The strong solidarity of his opposition could inspire those of more moderate and independent ilk, such as candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to cast their lots against Biden. Likely Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump remains well known largely for his strong immigration stance.

According to a Harvard/Harris poll taken last Thursday, immigration is now the top issue for the public by a strong 7% margin above inflation at 35%. This notable rise is due to an overall increase in concern across the political spectrum, including prior Democratic voters, many of whom have had to suffer under open border and asylum policies in blue cities.
The Texas resistance spells an even more likely doom for Biden’s reelection prospects if word of it spreads any further. To the media, less coverage is the best coverage.
