President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden took a genial stroll across the street to Blair House today, to greet a visiting gaggle of governors. The bipartisan group is the incoming class of newly-elected governors.
On the way back, Obama was asked about House Speaker-elect John Boehner’s remarks that tax cut maneuvers in the House today were a form of barnyard excrement. From the pool report:
POTUS walked back to the White House from Blair House at about 2:21 p.m., accompanied by a small group of aides including Reggie Love, who was carrying a McDonald’s bag and drink.
ABC’s Ann Compton… asked (Obama) about the Boehner “chicken crap” comment and about the state of tax negotiations.
“How are you Ann?” Obama said with a smile. “Great to see you.”
