The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart does not hide the fact that he is a committed partisan Democrat. The slurping pre-election interviews he gives Democratic presidential candidates more than proves that. But, while he can be counted on to parrot the Democrat party line on the big fights of the day (the debt limit, the Wisconsin recall, Obamacare, etc.), he does occasionally admit it when conservatives have the better side of an argument. Below are the Top Ten Daily Show segments any conservative can enjoy:
10. That’s Great Now Fix the Economy
“So Mr. President, while I am impressed with your Renaissance man level of knowledge on a plethora of subjects, may I humbly say, ‘That’s great. Just fix the economy.” – This segment is from way back on June 9, 2009, but its tag line could just as easily fit on a Romney bumper sticker tomorrow.
“Are these the people we’ve really been waiting for? These ideas sound like the people we got tired of.” – In this December 7, 2009, bit Jon is already obviously disappointed with both the pace of progress on the economic front and Obama’s laughable solutions for the problem. Not only does he poke fun at Obama’s obsession with “weatherization” he also has jokes about how quickly Congress spends money.
“They just don’t get irony. Even when there is an almost a dictionary definition of it right in front of them, they just don’t get it.” – John Oliver roasts National Conference of Editorial Writers president Froma Harrop for overseeing a “Civility Project” the same summer that she described the Tea Party as “al-Qaida bombers” who committed “economic terrorism against the United States.”
“Is there a course in condescension that everyone is taking here?” In a segment that aired two days after Occupy Wall Street was raided, Samantha Bee reports on the class divide between the uptown “college hipsters that live in Brooklyn” and the downtown “moocher class.”
6. Odyssey Dawn
“If this is a real war, then the administration would have some real issues to deal with because as one constitutional scholar states emphatically in 2007: ‘The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve an actual or imminent threat to the nation.'” – Aasif Mandvi explains to Jon why he can’t call Obama’s war in Libya a war.
5. San Francisco’s Happy Meal Ban
“Would it be hard to pass a law, to force Netflix to send Super Size Me to every parent in San Francisco?” – In a preview of Solicitor General Donald Verrilli’s Obamacare mandate meltdown, Aasif Mandvi grills San Francisco Supervisor Eric Mar about his proposed Happy Meal ban. “You can’t force Netflix, a private company, to do something like that,” Mar admits.

“The people holding the conference that wasted a ton of government money are the people in charge of making sure the government doesn’t waste a tone of money” – Covering the General Services Administration $800,000 Las Vegas boondoggle, Stewart is forced to admit Fox News has the goods on this story.
3. The Fast and Furious – Mexico Grift
“So our plan to prevent American guns from being used in Mexican gang violence is to provide Mexican gangs with American guns. To use, according to our plan, for violence.” – Stewart has actually mentioned Fast and Furious in passing a number of times, including in the GSA clip above, but this is the only full segment devoted to the issue.
2. That Custom-Tailored Obama Scandal You Ordered Is Finally Here
” Solyndra!!! Stewart tries to soft-pedal this scandal at times, but the full segment hits all the scandals highlights: Obama touring the plant, Biden’s job predictions, Obama bundler George Kaiser’s involvement, etc.
“That’s the one where I nail you.” – Just watch it.
