Monday’s Examiner front page was headlined “Obama’s week of reckoning: Budget, congressional address offer chance to reboot.”
When the president peeled off the high-impact line “Well that day of reckoning has arrived, and the time to take charge of our future is here” early in his speech tonight, we had to wonder if presidential speechwriter Jon Favreau hadn’t been at least subliminally affected when he walked by our red boxes around town.
Though, to be fair, we think the president still has three days of reckoning to go.
