If the 2016 campaign has you nostalgic for another outlandish political time, you can reminisce about the glory that was Anthony Weiner’s failed bid for New York City mayor as it imploded around yet another sexting scandal with “Weiner,” an all-access documentary hitting theaters next month.

Filmmakers Josh Kriegman — a former Weiner staffer — and Elyse Steinberg won the U.S. grand jury prize for documentary at the Sundance Film Festival for their feature-length look at the ex-congressman’s 2013 attempt at a comeback, before fresh allegations unravelled it all.
