Those lazy, hazy crazy daze of Summers! (ap photo)
National Economic Council Director Lawrence Summers today nodded off in the Roosevelt Room during president Obama’s credit card regulation event. Yeah! We thought it was boring, too! Keith Koffler (woot!) of Roll Call was the pool reporter today, and his note to the rest of the press corps contained the following observation:
One thing to note is that Summers appeared to be nodding off near the
beginning of Obama’s remarks. And then he DID nod off, doing the head on
the hand and then head falling off the hand thing. Photogs seemed to be
having a field day. All other officials in the room appeared fully
awake.
