Actor Kal Penn: Everyone has an uncle like Biden

Love him or hate him, everyone has an uncle like Joe Biden,” said actor Kal Penn during an MSNBC news panel this afternoon. “Not just in Pennsylvania or Ohio or Florida, but everywhere.”

While discussing Vice President Joe Biden’s effect on the Obama ticket, Penn agreed with his fellow analysts that Biden’s gaffes were “endearing.”

Penn previously worked for the White House for two years before returning to Hollywood to star in “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” another installment of the stoner-comedy series.

Penn weighed in on the youth vote, reminding the panel of Obama’s accomplishments such as repealing ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ and bringing home the troops from Iraq.

When the comedian actor was asked if he thought the DNC’s  new ‘Mitt vs. Mitt’ DNC ad trending today was funny, Penn disagreed, calling it a “super-bummer.”

“I am bummed out when I see ads like this.” said Penn who added, “Young people are not going to come out to the polls if they see negative mud slinging.”

While on the show, Penn promoted “Rayman Origins” a new video game on the MSNBC show. “I have not abandoned the youth,” Penn insisted, agreeing with Wagner that he was reaching out to them in a different way with a new video game.

“I’m not a big shoot-em-up guy,” said Penn, encouraging the audience to check out his new multiplayer game which features hand drawn cartoon characters.
