Cain makes a comeback at CPAC

An invigorated Herman Cain told a rowdy crowd of conservatives on Thursday that Republicans must “outsmart the stupid people that are trying to ruin America.”

“We must outsmart the liberals,” Cain said, addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in D.C. “We outnumber the stupid people. Trust me, I counted ’em.”

Cain directed the audience to his website, CainConnections.org, for the facts they must know to defeat President Obama in November.

“Stay informed, stay involved and thirdly, stay inspired,” he said. “See, the liberals want you to believe that we can’t do this. They want you to believe that Obama’s billion dollars… is going to make it a shoe-in.”

Cain lamented his decision to drop out of the race for the Republican nomination.

“There were two reasons I dropped out of the race,” he said. “Gutter politics, and number two, I chose to put family first.”

Cain, former CEO of a pizza restaurant chain, left the race after several women came forward and alleged that he sexually harassed them.

Cain said he would not “shut up and go away.”

“We the people are coming and we want our power back,” he said, as the crowd roared with cheers and applause.

“We are tired of kicking the can down the road,” he said. “The American people want stuff fixed.”
