‘Love trumps hate,’ Democrats’ ironic phrase

Love trumps hate,” a slogan often chanted during the so-called “peaceful protest” of the party claiming to embody love and tolerance, has become a rallying cry for those seeking to divide, hate, and now murder those who disagree with their questionable opinions.

Last night, a politically motivated shooter in Utah showed us exactly that. Charlie Kirk, a speaker who founded a conservative movement for young Americans, was murdered for nothing other than exercising his constitutional right to speak his opinions.

WHAT THE MURDER OF CHARLIE KIRK MEANS

In the moments after the incident, the party of peace and love took the opportunity to celebrate and stop others from mourning.

Shouts of “No!” were heard by Democrats throughout the House floor as Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) called for a moment of silence and a prayer.

Shortly after, former MSNBC host Matthew Dowd said on air that Kirk’s murder was of his own making.

“Constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech, aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions,” Dowd said.

Other members of the party of love and tolerance then took to social media to issue similar remarks. Some even aimed their words at Kirk’s two children, saying they now live in a society free of their father, whom they described as a despicable man who deserves “no empathy.”

Amanda Dobson, a school teacher in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, expressed her excitement over Kirk’s death on social media soon after the shooting.

“Charlie Kirk was a racist, xenophobic, transphobic, islamophobic, sexist, white nationalist mouthpiece who made millions of dollars inciting hatred in this country,” Dobson said.

“I extend absolutely no empathy for people like that [Kirk]. In this situation, my empathy is reserved for his children. May they grow up to live in a country that is the total opposite of what their father envisioned,” Dobson added.

Dobson’s lack of sympathy sends a message to her children that they will grow up in a society that shuns those who stand up for what they believe in.

Congruently, Laura Sosh-Lightsy, assistant dean of students at Middle Tennessee State University, wrote on social media, “Hate beggars hate.”

One of the more disturbing posts was a hate-filled video that went viral on X of Tatiana N. Atkins, an anesthesiologist at Miami Larkin Hospital.

“I’m just really glad Charlie Kirk just got himself f**ing shot. No one should give a f** that he’s dead,” Atkins said in the video. Unfortunately, deplorable hate toward Kirk’s assassination did not stop there.

Even less credible Americans, such as two women who refused to reveal their real identities, also expressed their love and tolerance online.

“We can all celebrate because something really awful happened to a really awful guy. I’m going to cheer and dance and sing,” said one of the unidentified females, who runs a TikTok account under the name @Foggsnotfungus.

The other anonymous woman published a similar video, saying she’s “so f***ing stoked right now.”

“You want to know why I’m so f***ing stoked, right? Go ahead and Google Charlie Kirk right now. Go ahead. Read the latest headlines,” she continued.

Countless other videos with the same hateful rhetoric continue to circulate on social media, and they don’t seem to be going away anytime soon. The party of love and tolerance has again shown the world its true colors, and they are far from pretty.
