Ahead of Secretary of State Marco Rubio‘s negotiations with Qatari officials regarding the Israel–Hamas war, the Democrats repeatedly called on Rubio to achieve a ceasefire deal and disarm Israel. However, if adopted, this would only sabotage the country’s defense. 

“The United States must implement an arms embargo [against Israel] immediately,” Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) said.
