Obama takes pre-Christmas hike with daughters

President Obama took a pre-Christmas hike with his daughters on vacation in Hawaii, according to the White House pool report.

After a drive that took him over mountains covered with lush greenery and offered spectacular views of a waterfall and the coastline below, President Obama’s motorcade came to a stop on the side of Nu’uana Pali Drive,” wrote pool reporter Julie Hirschfeld Davis of the New York Times. “The road curves up through a tunnel of tall, tropical trees festooned with thick vines. Your pooler did not see POTUS, but the White House tells us he is hiking at Judd Memorial Trail with daughters Sasha and Malia and family friends. We are holding in a mini-bus.”

According to AllTrails.com, the Judd Memorial Trail is a one-mile loop hike near Honolulu, “that offers the chance to see wildlife.” It is deemed both kid friendly and dog friendly. It received a rating of four out of five stars.
