Zohran Mamdani has been trying to pretend that he is more centrist than he is to avoid alienating too many New York City voters. And yet, even while he continues to render judgment on everything Israel does, Mamdani can’t bring himself to say that Hamas terrorists should be disarmed and removed from power.
Mamdani has continued to peddle Palestinian propaganda, including reaffirming that he would have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested on the bogus charges pushed by the antisemites at the International Criminal Court. Mamdani wants to arrest Israel’s leader over fabricated war crimes, repeatedly talks about a fake genocide in Gaza, and demanded that Israel surrender to Hamas immediately after Hamas terrorists massacred 1,200 Israeli civilians on Oct. 7.

But, when asked by Fox News’s Martha MacCallum whether Hamas should be disarmed as it agreed to be as part of the ceasefire deal, Mamdani apparently finally decided that foreign policy was out of his wheelhouse. “I believe that any future here in New York City is one that we have to make sure is affordable for all, and as it pertains to Israel and Palestine, that we have to ensure that there is peace, and that is the future we have to fight for,” Mamdani said.
When confronted directly on his not saying that Hamas should lay down its arms, Mamdani laughed it off and claimed, “I don’t really have opinions about the future of Hamas and Israel beyond the question of justice and safety.”
HAMAS EXECUTES RIVALS, CRACKS DOWN ON CIVILIANS IN POST-DEAL GAZA POWER VACUUM
Mamdani has opinions about everything Israel does, so much so that he wants to arrest a foreign leader should he set foot in New York City, despite having no authority to do so. And yet, he does not think genocidal, antisemitic terrorists should disarm as they have agreed to do, because he only has opinions about Israel and Hamas when it comes to “justice and safety,” which apparently does not include this issue, even as those armed Hamas terrorists are currently executing Palestinians in the streets.
This is all an act for Mamdani, who is trying to pretend that he is laser-focused on affordability and local issues to avoid talking about his radical stances on other issues that he has spent his career focused on, to the point that he was joining protests. Even then, Mamdani’s faux moderating won’t let him go as far as to condemn Hamas in any meaningful way, because he is, at his core, an antisemitic terrorist-supporting progressive.
