Trump’s secure border has saved ‘hundreds of thousands’ of child sex trafficking victims: Tim Ballard

By securing the southern border, President Donald Trump saved the lives of countless child trafficking victims, Tim Ballard, a former special agent for the Department of Homeland Security, devout Christian, and founder of anti-child sex trafficking nonprofit organization the Tim Ballard Foundation, told the Washington Examiner.

“Nobody will ever give Trump the credit. With one swift move, he saved the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, and I don’t say that casually,” Ballard told the Washington Examiner in an exclusive interview. “Just by enforcing the laws on the books, immediately you turn off the spigots of child trafficking.”

As stated by Ballard, former President Joe Biden’s deliberate open border policy allowed countless child sex traffickers to bring their victims over the border.

“In my opinion, Biden and mostly [former Vice President Kamala Harris] knew damn well what they were doing. I know because I briefed Kamala when she was senator, at this judiciary committee. I said that by opening up the gates, you are allowing child trafficking as a byproduct,” Ballard said.

“Harris is hopping around from state to state trying to implement no voter ID laws. They have this dream that Hispanics will come into the country and vote Democrat because the Democrats let them in. But just let them learn English and acclimate because the Hispanic people are, at their soul, conservatives, so that wouldn’t last,” Ballard added. “Kamala, in my opinion, is a war criminal that may not be hit until heaven, but she knew exactly what she was doing. HHS was the most powerful trafficking organization between 2020 and 2024.”

Under Biden’s administration, nearly 7 million illegal immigrants crossed the southern border into the United States.

Ballard left the DHS under the Obama administration, which oversaw similar border policies, after noticing that he could do more to fight child sex trafficking on his own rather than under the umbrella of a bureaucratic government agency riddled with red tape.

“I work for Jesus. There’s no red tape and no deep state. There’s no political pushback, and I can get valuable information that would otherwise be politically challenging for them [the government] to get,” Ballard said.

“We were very limited by jurisdictional mandates. The bureaucracy, and later on the deep state element, was very frustrating. There are many people in the deep state that do not want these things exposed because they’re very much a part of it. So that was a very big thing when I left in 2013,” Ballard added. “It would take five people to approve a mission, and by the time it gets approved, the child traffickers are gone.”

Since stepping down from his government post, Ballard has expanded his fight against child trafficking across more than 30 countries, partnering with international authorities to dismantle global networks of traffickers and pedophiles.

His independent missions were dramatized in the 2023 blockbuster Sound of Freedom, which depicted “Operation Triple Take,” a coordinated sting that began along the U.S. southern border and culminated in a Colombian hotel raid, rescuing over 100 victims, including 55 children, and leading to the arrest of more than a dozen suspected traffickers.

Ballard is now set to release his second movie on Nov. 14, Hidden War, in which he takes the fight to hunt down pedophiles and sex traffickers who look to take advantage of the situation that has opened up in Ukraine.

Ballard hopes to continue highlighting real-world efforts in the fight against child trafficking and bring this problem up for debate on the federal legislative stage.
