There was a flurry of antisemitic and Islamist attacks and thwarted attacks across the world at the start of Hanukkah. It comes after people spent two years perpetuating Palestinian propaganda about a fake genocide from terrorists who want to kill Jewish people all over the planet, emboldening Islamists and antisemites to act.
At least 15 people were killed in Australia on Sunday when two terrorists opened fire at a Jewish event at Bondi Beach. That same day, police in Redlands, California, launched an investigation into a suspected hate crime after a man yelled “Free Palestine” and “F*** the Jews” at a home displaying Hanukkah decorations, firing 20 shots at the home, possibly from an airsoft gun. On Saturday, someone opened fire at a final exam review session at Brown University for a class taught by a Jewish professor who has testified before Israel’s Knesset and taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The motive for the Brown University attack is thus far unknown, but a prominent conservative student was among those killed.

The FBI and the Justice Department also announced that they arrested multiple “far-left, pro-Palestine” terrorists who were plotting attacks on multiple locations in California. German officials also arrested five people alleged to have been plotting a Christmas market vehicle attack. All of this occurred in about a three-day span, coincidentally falling on or around the first day of Hanukkah.
This is what two years of repeating, ad nauseam, Palestinian propaganda about a fake genocide gets you. You can say that “criticism of Israel is not antisemitic” all you want, but the fact remains that Palestinian terrorists who want to kill all Jewish people lie about a “genocide.” They hide their terrorists and weapons in civilian areas, start wars with Israel, and then cry genocide when Israel responds. They want to destroy Israel because it is Jewish, and they fabricate claims about war crimes and genocide because they want to whip up global hatred of Israel and Jewish people. Even now, you can see the effect; antisemites in Amsterdam on Sunday swarmed a Hanukkah celebration, waving Palestinian flags and calling Jewish people in the Netherlands “child murderers.”

You can also say that “anti-Zionism is not antisemitism” all you want, but we see that it is in practice. That is why pro-Palestine protesters target synagogues, Jewish schools, or random Jewish people walking down the street. Two years of Palestinian propaganda, repeated by moronic protesters and allegedly intelligent government officials across the world, have achieved Hamas’s goals of fanning the flames of hatred against Jewish people for existing in public. These attacks are the result.
The reality of the situation in Gaza has not changed: antisemitic Islamists who rape women and slaughter innocents continue to instigate a war they know they can’t win, using Palestinians as human shields to paint Israel as the villains.
