Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee have released papers detailing the supposed benefits of ObamaCare for every Congressional constituency in America, no doubt with the intention of using the numbers to defend themselves this fall. So I took a look at the claims they make about the District of Columbia, and here is one thing it says ObamaCare will do for us:
Improve coverage for 363,000 residents with health insurance.
In other words, this document is an exercise in assuming the conclusion. There are 363,000 privately insured residents of D.C., and surely some segment of them will be unaffected or harmed. (I expect my high-deductible plan to be phased out because of the new law, so make it 362,999.)
