In a transparent effort to gather email addresses, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) has started an online petition drive to demand that Karl Rove’s “lie-filled” campaign ads be pulled from the airwaves.
“The lies in some of these ads are so blatant, they warrant removal from the public airwaves,” is the slightly hysterical call for action (original emphasis).
What lie was so egregious that the DSCC wants it pulled off the air? They don’t say, nor do they describe which ads they dislike, beyond saying that Rove’s Crossroads GPS has “launched a huge ad campaign attacking five Democratic Senate candidates, including Elizabeth Warren.”
Rove is a convenient fundraising villain, despised by Democrats around the country. Elizabeth Warren’s name is probably included for the opposite reason.
