Get ready for Democrats to plot their power grabs for 2028

Published

The Democratic Party’s sweep into power in the 2026 midterm elections means Democrats will spend the next two years planning the extreme power grabs they have been agitating for, to be carried out if they retake the White House in 2028.

Democrats have secured 54 Senate seats and could add two more in Alaska and Mississippi, cementing a wipeout victory that could see them hold the Senate for at least four years. (The 2028 Senate map is not favorable for the Republican Party). That includes adding Democratic senators from traditional GOP strongholds Texas, Kansas, and Iowa, along with the possible victory in Mississippi and the win in Ohio, which more recently became a “solid” red state.
