Democrat Farouk Shami, a slim-to-no chance contender in the Texas Democratic gubernatorial primary, has unveiled an official theme song for his campaign: “Farouk is on Fire”. Here’s the catch — it’s a Hip-Hop song by Houston artist J. Xavier. It’s probably slightly better than what you’d see on the old Gong Show, and it’s not quite as corny as the old Jim Mattox theme songs, but it’s not exactly in any danger of climing the Billboard charts either.
