Devout Catholic Joe Biden, our most pro-abortion president

Joe Biden has always been guided by his faith. As the second Catholic to enter the Oval Office, he’s ready to be the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history.

Biden, who has promised to drag nuns to court to force them to violate their faith and who selected a running mate who doesn’t think faithful Catholics should serve in the judicial branch, has become stridently pro-abortion in his presidential run. He wants taxpayers to fund abortion, both at home and abroad, and has said that Congress should enshrine into law the near-limitless abortion regime invented by the Supreme Court.

Now, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops claims that Biden’s support for abortion presents a “difficult and complex situation.” Much like most of the abortion debate, that is the euphemistic way of saying that there is a problem with (devout Catholic) Biden’s open support of a procedure that took the lives of approximately 862,000 unborn children in 2017 (the most recent data from the Guttmacher Institute).

Biden has promised to appoint only those judges who will uphold the constitutional abomination that is the framework of Roe v. Wade and, while he hasn’t come out in support of it himself, his selected running mate repeatedly said during her own presidential run that she would have the Justice Department strike down abortion restrictions passed by states.

Biden aligning with the policy preferences of the Pope on issues such as climate change and immigration is no workaround to 862,000 unborn children losing their lives due to an abortion regime that Biden supports. What’s worse is that Biden wants it expanded. Biden opposes the Hyde Amendment, which bars direct taxpayer funding for abortions in the U.S., and promised to repeal the Mexico City Policy on day one, thus allowing taxpayer dollars to be sent overseas to fund abortion.

But remember, the reigning media narrative is that Biden’s politics are shaped by his faith.

Every invocation of Biden’s faith rings hollow in the face of his unyielding support for taxpayer-funded abortion on demand. The issue is, as the president of the USCCB said, “our preeminent priority.” And yet, Biden is determined to sprint away from it, toward the unrelenting pro-abortion platform of the Democratic Party.
