Did Boschwitz get stuck in the revolving door?

Congressmen and Senators looking to monetize their public service typically join a lobbying firm within months of leaving office, and then start lobbying two years after leaving office. Not Rudy Boschwitz.

Twenty years and ten months after leaving the Senate, and a few days shy of his 81st birthday, the Minnesota Republican has registered as a lobbyist. He’s representing TCF bank on “legislation issues that affect bank” according to a lobbying filing by Boschwitz Associates, LLC, effective October 28.

As far as I can tell, this is the first time he has registered as a federal lobbyist.

CORRECTION: Originally, due to bad math, I wrote that Boschwitz had been out of the Senate for 30 years. It’s 20 years. You’re not that old, don’t worry.
