The Angler has an angle on all this recent high profile stuff — former Vice President Dick Cheney is actively shopping his memoir to publishers, according to the New York Times:

Already toiling away on memoirs are the former president, Laura Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Hank Paulson, Donald Rumsfeld and Karl Rove. The Times reports the busy authors are in frequent contact comparing notes and sharing writing tips.
