If you’re watching this morning’s England-Germany game in the World Cup, you probably saw that the English were robbed of a goal because the referee and linesman failed to see that the ball entered the goal before bouncing out.
Think of it as revenge for this English “goal” against Germany in the 1966 World Cup finals:
UPDATE: Today’s goal that should have been but wasn’t — like the 1966 goal that shouldn’t have been but was — did not matter to the match’s final result. Germany stomped England, 4-1.
