Mike Huckabee — new book out, moving to Florida (CNN calls his new house “fancy”), still on the Fox News show. So, we assume you’re running. National Journal today has a cozy sit-down with the former governor, who has a lot to say about President Obama, the tax cut deal and more:
Huckabee said he was “the first Republican” hoping Obama succeeded after the 2008 election (hmmm) but that Obama still doesn’t understand the “spanking” (Huckabee’s word) he got in the midterms.
Huckabee said Obama is a “very left-of-center person” trying to take the country in a dramatically different direction.
This will be one of the ominous notes of the 2012 campaign — that Obama is outside of the mainstream and pushing a radical agenda on an unwilling nation.
