Although President Obama praised Senate Democrats for clearing the 60-vote hurdle for the health care bill, liberal activists are furious. Jane Hamsher from the liberal Firedoglake blog sent the following email to their readers:
The Senate’s health care bill must be killed. Sign our petition to Congress and President Obama: We must do better for health care than this bill.
It is an ungodly mess of errors, loopholes, and massive giveaways. When the American people find out what’s actually in this bill, they will revolt. Congress and President Obama have no choice but to do better for health care than this bill.

Moveon.org also just sent out a more mild email, aking readers to ‘Fix the bill,’ but they are clearly not happy with the final version of the bill.
Unfortunately, the Senate bill was badly weakened by conservatives. It doesn’t have a public option, doesn’t do enough to make insurance affordable, and doesn’t create real competition for insurance companies.
Note that they are blasting ‘conservatives’ instead of ‘Republicans’ for messing up the final bill steering anger at Democrats. Don’t they mean moderates?
