2010 Election: In North Dakota, Republicans all but gain a Senate seat, ten months early

Looks like North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven, R, is indeed running for Senate, based on local news sources. Hoeven begins as a prohibitive favorite in a state that is naturally Republican but has been represented for some time by two Democratic Senators and one Democratic at-large congressman.
