President Obama suggested that Mitt Romney’s opposition to tax increases on the wealthy show he cares about himself, not “future generations” who Obama thinks will benefit from increased government spending.

“I don’t want to live in a country where all we’re doing is thinking about ourselves,” Obama told supporters at a Chicago fundraiser today. According to the pool report, he then faulted Romney for proposing $5 trillion in tax cuts.
“‘Don’t but that song and dance that we’re concerned about future generations,” Obama added of Romney plan, citing his opposition to the Buffett Rule (a tax increase on the wealthy).
