Romney derides Newt’s attacks on moderators

Mitt Romney portrayed Newt Gingrich as a rhetorical bully, today, suggesting that Gingrich’s decision to take the “easy” route of attacking the moderators — who cannot respond — does not prove that he could stand up to President Obama.

“It’s very easy to talk down a moderator,” Romney said today on Fox and Friends. “The moderator asks a question and then has to sit by and take whatever you send to them. And Speaker Gingrich has been wonderful at attacking the moderators and attacking the media.”

“It’s very different to have candidates go against candidates,” Romney added, “and that’s something I’ll be doing against President Obama if I get the chance to be our nominee.”
