A quick look ahead at this week’s hearings in the Budget, Energy, Natural Resources, and Oversight Committees.
Energy:
On Wednesday, April 13th, the Subcommittee on Energy and Power will hold a hearing on the “Jobs and Energy Permitting Act of 2011,” a bill to scale back Environmental Protection Agency regulations on the Outer Continental Shelf.
On Thursday, April 14th, the Subcommittee on Environment and the Economy has scheduled a hearing on a bill to prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating fossil fuel combustion waste under the Solid Waste Disposal Act.
On Friday, April 15th, the Subcommittee on Energy and Power will hold a hearing titled, “Recent EPA Rulemakings Relating to Boilers, Cement Manufacturing Plants, and Utilities.”
Natural Resources:
On Friday, April 15th, the National Parks, Forest and Public Lands subcommittee will hold a joint hearing with the Oversight Committee titled: “The Border: Are Environmental Laws and Regulation Impeding Security and Harming the Environment?”
Oversight:
On Thursday, April 15th, the full committee will hold a hearing titled: State And Municipal Debt: Tough Choices Ahead
On Friday, April 15th, the Subcommittee on Government Organization will hold a hearing on Improper Payments: Finding Solutions
Budget:
No hearings scheduled.
