Gingrich vows to continue, attacks Romney

Newt Gingrich — headed for a fourth place finish in the Iowa caucuses — will continue campaigning in New Hampshire and South Carolina after tonight, according to an email from his campaign that included an attack on frontrunner Mitt Romney.

“We always knew that this was going to be a tough race and no matter what the result is tonight, we are confident that the team of supporters, volunteers, and staff we have assembled is going to carry Newt all the way to the White House,” wrote Gingrich campaign manager Michael Krull, adding that  “we will be taking our message to New Hampshire, South Carolina, and beyond.”

Gingrich also previewed the line of attack he’ll pursue against Romney, framing the campaign as a contest between himself “a timid Massachusetts moderate whose plan has been described in Forbes Magazine as ‘virtually identical to Obama’s failed policy.'”
