New poll shows huge Angle lead over Reid

Rasmussen’s likely voter turnout model tends to be kind toward the GOP this year. Case in point: Even as Mason-Dixon shows Sharron Angle leading Harry Reid by 3 points, they have her leading by 11.

Sharron Angle, following her come-from-behind Republican Primary win Tuesday, has bounced to an 11-point lead over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada’s closely-watched U.S. Senate race.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Nevada, taken Wednesday night, shows Angle earning 50% support while Reid picks up 39% of the vote. Five percent (5%) like some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.

If this poll is crazy, then it’s only half-crazy. It is by no means an outlier with respect to Reid’s level of support, shown by other pollsters in recent weeks to be 43 and 41 percent, with the higher number coming from a Daily Kos poll. If this poll is not crazy, then Harry Reid is in huge trouble.
