Forget about fickle Iowa voters. Newt has found a new, more loyal (and, might I add, adorable) voter base to worry about wooing: America’s pets.
Last week Newt announced he would campaign with Pets and Music. His campaign followed up on that promise yesterday, launching petswithnewt.com and releasing a video of Callista Gingrich talking about the importance of a musical education.
Of note is the fact that nowhere on the site is there a page for pictures of Newt with pets or other animals. Rather, the site is solely a place for pet owners (who support Newt) to send in pictures of their pets for the opportunity to have their pet featured on the homepage.
The site is literally a home for pictures of pets that ‘support’ Newt, or are “with Newt,” as the campaign likes to call its supporters.
The site also links to a Gingrich Productions page with a list of Newt and Callista’s favorite zoos.
