Paul explains his Reagan problem

Republican Texas Rep. Ron Paul said he admires President Ronald Reagan, but that the consequences of Reagan’s policies were “not all that great.”

“I strongly supported Ronald Reagan,” Paul said, explaining why in 1987 he cited Reagan as one of the reasons that he resigned from the Republican Party. “I supported all his issues and all his programs but in the 1980’s we spent too much, we taxed too much, we built up our deficits and it was a bad scene.”
