Obama continues game of Medicare savings pretend

From Obama’s speech, on saving money in Medicare:

Already, the reforms we passed in the health care law will reduce our deficit by $1 trillion.  My approach would build on these reforms.

The truth about Obamacare’s savings, from Medicare actuary Richard Foster:

Mr. Foster shows that the Medicare “cuts” that Democrats wrote into ObamaCare exist only on paper and were written so they could pretend to reduce the deficit and perform the miracles the trustees dutifully outlined. With the exception of cuts in Medicare Advantage, those reductions will never happen in practice.

So when Obama says he will “build on these reforms,” is he suggesting that he will propose more imaginary cuts to Medicare? Not a promising sign, considering that Medicare is the biggest problem in long-term deficit reduction.
