Next time you are on Facebook, keep an eye out for the ad placed by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) offering free information on how to start a union (would it be $19.95 if offered by a private company?).
Over at RedState.com, LaborUnionReport, which first reported the ad, also notes this interesting quote from, of all people, former White House economic advisor Larry Summers:
“Another cause of long-term unemployment is unionization. High union wages that exceed the competitive market rate are likely to cause job losses in the unionized sector of the economy.”
Either Summers never mentioned his view on this matter to President Obama while working for him, or he did, but the chief executive either forgot it or chose to ignore.
