Unreliable guide?

The Atlantic has a list of places in New Hampshire which were the sites of significant political incidents in previous primaries. Unfortunately the first item on the list seems to be wrong. “You can still smell the Patchouli at the former Sheraton Wayfarer Hotel (now a Quality Inn),” the first item begins. Well, I can’t. Inspired by memories of primaries past, I drove by the old Wayfarer (you have to enter through the Macy’s (former Jordan Marsh) parking lot and drive off to the north side) and found it enclosed by a fence and totally closed. No smell of Patchouli or anything else.

Another quibble. The guide identifies as the site where in 1972 Edmund Muskie either cried or didn’t cry in the snow out in front of the then-Manchester Union Leader as 100 William Loeb Drive, in an industrial park on the outskirts of Manchester. But I’m pretty sure that the Union Leader was located on Elm Street in downtown Manchester. Some fact checking needed here. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/01/hillary-cried-here-an-unconventional-tourist-guide-to-the-nh-primary/250848/
