It is probably amusing for people from out West (like my wife) to see earthquake virgins (like myself) react to this morning’s mild 5 a.m. D.C. earthquake. My first thought was that we had a bunch of people running around downstairs.
This was my favorite reaction in the news:
Dean Miletich of Frederick said he was taking out the trash when the quake hit.
“When I came back into the garage, everything on the shelves was shaking,” he said. “It sounded like a deep rumble. When I came back inside, my wife had woken up and asked me, ‘What did you do?’”
